Providence Health & Services Rehabilitation Technician in Spokane, Washington


Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Technician (Physical Therapy, Day Shift, 0.9 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Assist therapists to provide treatment in accordance with patients' plans of care.

  • Prepare patients for therapy, transport them to/from therapy areas, and assist therapists with patient scheduling.

  • Participate and assist in therapy assessments as needed, implement education plans, and report additional educational needs to the evaluating therapist.

  • Oversee ordering, tracking, and record keeping for all therapy equipment.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree (GED), or equivalent

  • Current listing on the Washington Nurse Aide (OBRA) registry

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or obtain within 90 days of employment

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Current Nursing Assistant Certified licensure in Washington State

  • 3 months of long-term care or related geriatric and/or rehabilitative experience

  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington is located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
