Providence Health & Services Physical Therapy Assistant-Acute Regional Float in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Physical Therapy Assistant (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Marger Building Portland in Portland, OR.
This position is a full-time inpatient regional float PTA role for the Portland and surrounding suburbs including Mt. Angel, Oregon. The PTA in this position will primarily provide inpatient/acute and skilled nursing coverage to the five Providence hospitals in the Portland Metro Area and the one Providence skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Mt. Angel – these include: Providence Portland, Providence St. Vincent’s, Providence Milwaukie, Providence Willamette Falls, Providence Newberg, and Providence Benedictine Nursing Center (SNF). In addition, the requirements for this role include travel flexibility in between these six locations.
This position does pay a premium rate.

In this position, you will:
Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist provide skilled physical therapy to patients/clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, taking into account individual patient‘s special physical or age-related needs.
Utilize skills in patient/client treatment, as well as professional consultations to achieve maximum patient/client independence in accordance with individual‘s functional level and potential.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
Current Physical Therapist Assistant licensure through the State of Oregon, or temporary license if new graduate awaiting licensing exam results
Occasionally a position will require specialized physical therapist assistant training or experience to meet a particular department need
Must be able to travel between sites in a timely manner as assigned
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification with automated external defibrillator (AED) within 30 days of hire
