Providence Health & Services Life Enrichment Coordinator in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Life Enrichment Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence ElderPlace In Gresham in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Plan, organize, direct, and participate in a broad program of recreational services appropriate for the participants of Providence ElderPlace.
Position will make visits to skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and to homes as well as working at site.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Activity Coordinator Certification is required for candidates without a Bachelor’s Degree
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification must be obtained within 1 month of hire
2 years of experience with a frail or elderly population, (ie hospital, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting)
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties; fingerprinting may also be required
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor degree level of preparation with an emphasis in fields of special education, occupational therapy, recreation therapy
Training in working with cognitively impaired adults, frail elderly, and/or adults with mental and emotional disabilities
Experience leading therapeutic group activities, discussions, etc.
Experience in participant assessments and care planning
