Providence is calling a Outpatient Rehabilitation Manager to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

The Manager of Outpatient Rehab oversees the clinical aspects of our outpatient services/programs within Providence Southwest Washington, including the Providence Medical Group Physical Therapy program. The Manager of Outpatient Rehabilitation is responsible for coordination of functions and/or staff, the quality of therapy service provided, and the financial performance of the departments. Manager of Outpatient Rehab should be able to role model clinical skills and demonstrate extensive leadership abilities to facilitate all employees in maintaining the highest clinical standards and the upholding the core values of Providence Health System. In order to best understand the daily operations of the staff, the manager is expected to spend approximately 25% of his/her time providing clinical services and 75% of the time in the administrative role.

In this position you will:

  • Contribute to developing and maintaining Rehab Unit customer satisfaction program in accordance with organizational guidelines which includes guests, family, patient and physician expectations.

  • Assist with the development of a Rehab Unit strategic Plan complying with organizational guidelines which identifies objectives for increasing market share and volumes.

  • Actively participate in developing annual departmental budgets, and specifically the Rehab Unit Budget, which will include appropriate volume and revenue projections and reflect the most cost-effective means of delivering services to achieve specified quality levels.

  • Manage human resources to achieve the highest levels of performance by retaining and attracting the most competent employees.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical, Occupational, Recreational Therapy and/or Speech Language Pathology from accredited training program.

  • Master's Degree in PT/DPT preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a therapy discipline, with at least 3 years in a management/supervisory position

  • WA state Physical Therapy license

  • Knowledge of department management including budgeting, resource allocation and planning

  • Demonstrates on a regular basis, effective clinical and leadership skills

  • Works in Collaboration with the Director of PM&R to Ensures that regulatory and payor guidelines are met by clinic staff in the treatment of patients

  • Effective in dealing with patients (or customers) of all ages. This position has regular and recurrent direct contact with Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics

  • Effective in maintaining a level of documentation that is consistent with the guidelines of the profession, of regulatory agencies, and of third-party payors
