Providence Health & Services Life Enrichment Coordinator in Milwaukie, Oregon
Providence is calling a Life Enrichment Coordinator (0.8 FTE, Days) to Providence Milwaukie Healing Place in Milwaukie, OR.
Will work at Milwaukie and Beaverton Site.
In this position, you will:
Plan, organize, direct, and participate in a broad program of recreational services appropriate for the participants of Providence ElderPlace.
Work evenings and weekends at ElderPlace Housing sites based upon the needs of residents at each site as needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Activity Coordinator Certification is required for candidates without a Bachelor’s Degree.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification for Health Care Provides must be obtained within 1 month of hire.
2 years of experience working with a frail or elderly population, i.e. hospital, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings.
In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check may be required for this position based upon the location of the position. Fingerprinting may be required also.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
Training on working with cognitively impaired adults, frail elderly, and/or adults with mental and emotional disabilities.
Experience leading therapeutic group activities, discussions, etc.
Experience in participant assessments and care planning
