Providence Health & Services Rehabilitation Technician in Issaquah, Washington
Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Aide (Physical Therapy, Day Shift, 0.5 FTE) to Providence Marianwood in Issaquah, Washington. Assist patients with prescribed occupational/physical therapies. In collaboration with others, carry out an individualized, comprehensive, and patient centered Plan of Care in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations as may be directed by the Physical or Occupational Therapist, Rehabilitative Services Manager, and/or Director of Patient Care Services.
In this position you will:
Assist therapists to provide treatment in accordance with patients’ plans of care; assist with measuring and assessing patient status.
Prepare patients for therapy, and transport them to/from therapy areas.
Encourage patients to perform and/or participate in ADLs.
Assist with and participate in therapy assessments as needed; implement education plan, and report additional educational needs to evaluating therapist.
Maintain and submit complete and accurate treatment records, progress notes, and other documentation; assist with preparation and maintenance of billing documentation.
Assist with interpreting therapy protocols and plans of care to patients and their families.
Demonstrate the use of appliances used, including wheelchairs, crutches, prosthetics, etc; assist with wheelchair maintenance.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or GED
3 months of Long-term care or related geriatric and/or rehabilitative experience
Availability to work flexibile hours and different shift times
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
