Providence is calling a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) (Home Health, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County in Everett, Washington. In this position you will:
Perform comprehensive speech, language and swallow assessments, develop plans of care, coordinate care with other disciplines and provide direct patient care in the implenations of outcome oriented speech therapy interventions under the Physician ordered Plan of Care.
Promote and practice patient/family, personal and environmental safety while performing job duties according to agency policies and procedures.
Participate in relevant educational activities to provide competent care to patients/caregivers, to improve the rehab process, and to seek personal and professional growth.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an institution approved by the state board in collaboration with the American Speech Therapy Association. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may be considered
Current Speech Therapy Licensure in the state of Washington
Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Valid Washington State driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured, reliable vehicle or an alternate ability to travel to sites as required
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
1 year of Speech Therapy experience with adult physical disabilities
